scotland

Maybe it's the rainy cold weather but I haven't been able to get Scotland out of my mind.
I remember being so pleasantly surprised by the beautiful city of Edinburgh.
Highlights include:
meeting amazing people--locals & fellow backpackers.
staying in the best hostel in all of Europe.
eating fried snickers for the first time.
hiking to the top of Arthur's Seat.
laughing at the most entertaining free walking tour.
looking at old castles.
playing in the rain.
sharing strangers' laptops over the community breakfast table.

Just so you know, if you ever crave fried snickers, the Minnesota State Fair has some pretty dang good ones.

You've got a gift of story telling. So thankful you're so willing to share it with the world :)

Molly, I don't think I've ever commented on your blog, but I've been enjoying reading for a while now.

I completely understand what you're saying about the rainy cold weather and feeling nostalgic for that area of the world. I spent some time living in Ireland and I always miss it like crazy this time of year! Thanks for sharing you're beautiful pictures and memories of Scotland!

Alix-you lived in Ireland??? This is incredible! One of my favorite places on the planet. Did you get to visit cork? I loved the Blarney Castle!

One of my favorite places too. Lovely photos! Our good camera wasn't working on the trip my husband I I took with his band a few years ago, which was so disappointing. Guess we will just have to go again.... Mmmmhmmm
